影片简介
Freedom is a story about a chance encounter between two sea eagles: one living in the wild in France and the other that had been in captivity for years. The wild bird is free but alone. It soars majestically, but lives a harsh existence. We watch the second bird stagger into freedom under the watchful eye of a man who has decided to change the bird’s fate.
Techniques that capture previously unseen images give us a bird’s eye view. These world’s-first action-based images make this film unique. The images were filmed in different ways: cameras were mounted on the eagles’ backs, drones captured in-flight action (the birds learned to fly alongside these devices) and other footage was taken from paragliders or on skis. These innovative techniques produced completely new images, adding a certain rhythm and unprecedented realism to the film.
