A concert video featuring a performance by The Dukes of September Rhythm Revue, the touring outfit starring Steely Dans Donald Fagen, ex-Doobie Brother Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs, will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on March 18 . The Dukes of September Live includes an 18 -song set taped at Lincoln Center in New York City in November 2012 .
The show also will air as an episode of the PBS series Great Performances during the networks March pledge week. The Dukes of September Rhythm Revue performance features the three singer / songwriters playing well-known tunes from their respective catalogs, as well as a selection of classic R & B and soul covers. Fagen, McDonald and Scaggs are backed by a large group of musicians, many of whom are part of Steely Dans touring band.
